Picking & Packing

Prepare the correct items and quantities for the outgoing order.

What is free to pick

Twenty-four chairs sit at A-03 and six are already reserved by CMD-DEMO-1001, so eighteen are free for the next order.

Make the source and destination explicit.

The pick identifies six chairs, their storage location and the packing station for the order.

Picked, packed, handed over

Each step is a dated event on the pick, so the order says who handled it and when, not only that it left.

The pick face, after the pick

Six chairs leave A-03 and eighteen stay, under the twenty the pick face is meant to hold, so the location is flagged for a refill from bulk.

Transfers & Stock Counts

Move it, and say who has it now

Twelve bearings leave rack B-02 for the assembly station. The transfer names both ends and the moment custody changed.

Transfers & Stock Counts

  1. Twelve bearings leave rack B-02 for the assembly station. The transfer names both ends and the moment custody changed.

  2. Compare the physical count with recorded stock. Investigate any difference before adjusting stock.

  3. Seventeen chairs at €84.00 each is €1,428.00 of the site's €3,618.00. The count moves the value in the books instead of a figure typed in at year end.

  4. The adjustment is posted once on the stock line. The webshop, the shop, a quote and a production order all read the same figure straight after, with nothing to synchronise.

Different work. The same connected foundation.

Two illustrative configurations to review with your team.

Discuss your process

A distributor receives a delivery

REC-2026-0142: 24 chairs received at Brussels, location A-03. Count and condition are checked before putaway.

A workshop prepares production materials

PICK-2026-0143: move 12 bearings from rack B-02 to the assembly station for OF-2026-0143. Keep the source and destination explicit.
